Pumpkin Night

Today in art we created beautiful pumpkins and learned about mixing colours at the same time. To paint our pumpkins we had to mix read and yellow to make orange. To paint the leaves we had to mix yellow and blue; and to make the stems we had to mix red, yellow and blue.

After painting our pumpkins in the morning, they were dry enough after lunch to cut out and finish the project. We used the illustrations in a book called, Pumpkin Day, Pumpkin Night as inspiration for our glowing moons as twinkling stars.

We hope you like our pumpkins!

  1. Dear K/1/2/3’s,
It look like you sure got some Halloween pumpkins. I remember when I was in grade 3 and I made a pumpkin just like that. Koa,Owain,Owen, Rosemary,Melliah,Hilory,Cherrish,Siera,Kaydan, and Mya. You all did a really good job. I wish I could stay in grade 3 forever.
